Dog Behaviour Consultancy Rooted in Expertise & Love

About HDogz:

HDogz is a canine behaviour consultancy based in Berlin, Germany and operating internationally. Founded and led by Harrison O'Neill, HDogz works with dogs across all ages, breeds, and histories — from adolescent personality quirks to complex trauma, anxiety, fear, and aggression.

The dog is always the primary clinical subject. Every consultation begins with understanding the dog's world — their environment, relationships, health, history, and emotional state. Owners are not bystanders in this process. They are the delivery mechanism, the observers, and the essential partner in everything we do. But the goal is always the dog's wellbeing.

HDogz does not use aversive methods. Ever. We do not use punishment, force, or fear as tools. Our approach is built on evidence, ethics, and a genuine respect for what dogs are — sentient, cognitively complex animals who deserve to be understood rather than simply managed.

About Harrison:

Harrison O'Neill is a licensed dog trainer and behaviour consultant based across Berlin and Dublin, with nearly two decades of experience working with dogs across Ireland, Germany, the UK, and internationally.

Harrison holds a §11 TierSchG permit — the German regulatory licence for dog training and behaviour consultation — and is certified across multiple disciplines including conditioning methods, trauma-informed practice, and animal welfare. He recently completed his Diploma in Canine Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CCBT) with the Institute of Canine Psychotherapy, mentored by Dr Billie Groom PhD, founder of ICP and one of the foremost figures in canine psychotherapy globally.

In 2027, Harrison will begin the Holistic Triage Practitioners Course with Atticus Academy of Animals, a specialist eight-month programme training practitioners to assess a dog's complete health and wellbeing across behaviour, movement, gut health, emotional state, and environmental factors — and to coordinate with veterinary and complementary professionals accordingly. The course is created and led by Rebecca Hanlon, Level 6 Certified Canine Behaviourist and a valued colleague in Harrison's professional network.
